Seneza Celestin, MD, MMed Junior Consultant anesthesiologist, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Butare
Dr. Celestin Seneza has obtained his medical degree from the University of Ngozi, Burundi in 2014. Following one year as a general practitioner at District Hospital, He applied for the anesthesiology residency training at the University of Rwanda and completed his training in 2019. Currently, Dr. Celestin is one of the four consultants Anesthesiologists at Butare University Teaching Hospital (CHUB). During his residency program, Dr. Celestin was awarded two travel awards on his project entitled “Prevalence and outcome of malnutrition in pediatric surgical patients in at Kigali University Teaching Hospital, Rwanda” presented at Bethune Round Table/Canada in 2019 and American academy of pediatrics in 2019 also. Now Dr. Celestin is a member of the Institute of Medical Education and Global Health (IMEGH). His interests include regional anesthesia, patient safety, quality improvement, resuscitation, and global health. Dr. Celestin has received and conducted many training of resuscitation including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and VAST course. He is married with two children.
