Is a junior clinician, academician, researcher, and global health advocate. He has earned his Medical Degree from the former National University of Rwanda in 2013 and his Masters Degree in 2017 from the University of Global Health Equity; he is currently in his final Year pursuing his MMED in Anesthesiology at the University of Rwanda.
His research interests include quality improvement and staff wellness, specifically in the fields of anesthesia, surgery, maternal health, and Non Communicable Diseases and Injuries.
Eugene is currently Assistant Lecturer andin Charge of research and innovations in the department of Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care at the University of Rwanda. He is Co-PI on 2 funded projects looking on simulation education for district hospitals (DHs) anesthesia staff and quality of maternal care in DHs respectively.
