Mr. Vincent MUHIRE is a clinical psychologist and a registered nurse working in Centre Hospitalier Universities de Butare (CHUB).
He is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology since 2009 and a holder of Advanced Diploma in Nursing Sciences since 2017 while he served as an associate nurse in the same institution since 1998.
He is thankful to the University of Rwanda, Indira Gandhi Open University, Hospice Afrique France and Ministry of Health for most valuable education and development in respectively; forensic medicine, HIV and family education, palliative care, and nursing practice.
Mr. Vincent mainly performed duties in medicine, pediatrics, stomatology, theatre, recovery room, minor surgery and accident and emergency (A&E) in such 500-beds referral hospital. He is passionate about pain management, palliative care, forensic medicine, counseling & psychotherapy, and HIV & Family education. His dedication pairs with relevant experience and related certification from high ranked agencies.
He tries and arrives to solve the challenges in pain management, palliative care, and families’ holistic health education thanks to volunteering and being very active member of palliative care team in CHUB all along with practicing as functional nurse and an educator to transfer knowledge, skills, and experiences to the multidisciplinary team and the community.
Mr. Vincent’s interest and future career goals are contributing to the eradication of all forms of pain, provision of high-quality palliative and nursing care and the performance African families holistic health education.
To him, the quality of palliative care and health education is a journey!
